a message from our president
Welcome to Chattahoochee Handweavers Guild. Please explore our website to find out who we are and what programs we offer. We have a strong educational mission and offer a multitude of classes over fall, winter, spring and summer quarters. In addition we host regional, national, or international experts in weaving for workshops three times a year. This September will see Susan Wilson’s Polychrome Crackle workshop. Then Denise Kovnat will join us in January for Echo Weave and finally Deb Essen will be exploring color in early April 2019.
Next year will also be our biennial Juried Show, COLOR: Classic to Contemporary. Kathrin Weber will be our jurist for the show. Look for more information on the show to be posted soon. We are excited to be exhibiting at the Jacqueline Casey Hudgens Center for Art & Learning in Duluth, GA. The show will run from May 4, 2019 to July 27, 2019 with the opening reception on May 11th.
Our meetings are open to visitors and we hope that you decide to drop in at one of them. Generally they are held on a 3rd Saturday of the month, but when workshops are scheduled, they occur on the Friday evening prior. Check our calendar to be sure.
