Jump into the rewarding world of handweaving! This immersive course is designed for anyone aged 13 and up who’s eager to learn the foundational skills of weaving on a floor loom. From initial project conception to the satisfying final touches, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire weaving process.
Project: Throughout the week, you’ll focus on creating a set of practical and beautiful cotton hand towels.
Curriculum: You will master warp preparation, the art of dressing a floor loom, fundamental weaving techniques (plain weave and twill variations), and project finishing with confidence.
Equipment & Materials: The guild supplies all necessary equipment and materials, including individual floor looms (Wolf Pups), a variety of cotton yarns, shuttles, and all other essential weaving tools.
