Description

You have a spinning wheel and you’re making yarn, but you’re sure there’s more you could be doing, right? In this class we’ll work on moving beyond our first skeins to something a little more refined. We’ll try our hands at various drafting techniques and how they create different yarns, look at woolen and worsted spinning (and everything in between), discuss the properties of wool, learn to hand card, ply, make skeins, and finish and store them. Lots of hands on, lots of learning, lots of fun!

Prerequisite: Participants should have their own spinning wheel and be able to spin, even if it is just at a beginner level.
