Description

You have a spinning wheel and you’re making yarn, but you’re sure there’s more you could be doing, right?  In this class we’ll work on moving beyond our first skeins to something a little more refined.  We’ll try our hands at various drafting techniques and how they create different yarns. We will discuss different fiber preparation methods, look at woolen and worsted spinning, discuss the properties of different fibers, learn to hand card, ply, make skeins, and finish and store them.  Lots of hands on, lots of learning, lots of fun!  Class is limited to 6 so that everyone can receive hands-on instruction.
